Cardio Tennis is open to players of all ages and abilities.
It's a fun, sociable group fitness class set on a tennis court even if you’ve never played tennis before.
It is a great way to be introduced to the sport and if you are an experienced tennis player it is the best way to train for tennis.
Classes deliver a full body aerobic workout that combines tennis with cardiovascular exercise.
Each workout compromises of a warm-up, cardio segment (drills) and a cool down.
Enjoin the beat! Cardio workout is with the music which keeps you motivated.

What equipment do I need to play?
- A tennis racquet (bring along your own racquet if you have one.
If not, don’t worry as you can borrow one of ours but it’s best to call before to check)
- Your favourite gym kit and trainers
- Water bottle
5 hrs = 5 Weeks
€30 Club Members / €50 Non Members
*members can pay as drop-in €10 for session

Cardio Tennis sessions are supported by music, you’ll get to hit lots of tennis balls during your class and have a great cardio workout at the same time.The tempo is picked up with drills and hitting lots of balls, with fitness and footwork mixed in.
What is a typical cardio tennis class like?
Cardio Fitness sessions consist of a short warm up and cool down either side of a full body workout.
1. Warm up - Some dynamic stretching, skills and drills to get your body warm and mind sharp before the workout begins.
2. Aerobic section - Here’s your chance to hit loads of shots, including forehands, backhands, serves and volleys, all mixed with a variety of fitness activities.
3. Tennis section - Put your shots into practice with fun tennis games.
4. Cool down - Well done, you made it! Now it’s time to recover and stretch.
What else do I need to know?
What do I need to bring?
Equipment is provided. Wear comfortable gym kit and trainers. You’ll be working up a sweat, so don’t forget to bring a water bottle too!
Do I need to be good at tennis?
No! Cardio Tennis is for anyone who wants to get fit and have a go at tennis. The class moves along quickly, so no one will be judging your skills, and it doesn’t matter whether the ball goes in or out.
Do I need to be fit?
No! Cardio Tennis is for anyone who wants to have fun getting fit.
Do I have to be a member of a club?
No! but you are always welcome to join our Club. We have a great Introductory offer.
